Happy 8th Birthday Lauren (May 2)

Lauren is 8 years old already! I still remember the day she was born. She was such a cute little thing and I couldn't believe she was ours. The doctor told us she was the only little princess born that day in the hospital and the rest were boys! She is still our little princess. She is such a sweet daughter who is happy every day no matter what. Lauren always wants everyone to be happy and feel included. She is the sunshine in our home and such a smart and wise girl for someone her age. She has made me want to be a better mom and person and she teaches me so much about myself. Lauren is such a nice girl and always has friends flocking to her because she is so kind to them. She is so non-judgemental and finds the good in all. She is happy about life and always smiling and excited about the little things she does. She is a loving sister to her brothers and her sister. She is always worried about others before herself. Lauren is an example to follow and I am so happy to be her mom! I love you Lauren.

My sweet Libbey Lyn-Already 2 months

She looks so dang cute in her little church dress.
It seems so little but when we put it on it is still too big.
This binky seems bigger than Libbey's face! But she loves it.

Libbey is growing up too fast-I can't keep up with her

Look at her cute little eyes-I love how they try to focus and end up cross eyed

She is so precious and beautiful!

Easter Fun

Lauren and Dawson busy decorating their eggs
Look how Lauren is in total concentration and Dawson is
cuddling his eggs like they are a newborn baby!
Damon is so funny! He just kept dipping the same

egg over and over in the same yellow dye.

He not only dyed his egg but his hand too!

Skin Cancer-Me? No way-I'm only 34!

Please wear sunscreen! I know I've always liked to be tan and in the sun like most people, however in January the skin doctor was suspicious of a skin mark on the right side of my forehead. I told him I had it burned off 1 or 2 years prior but it came back again. It was itchy and peeling and would bleed sometimes so I really didn't think much about it. My dad has had many skin cancers over the last several years and he said I should get it checked out again. The skin doctor took a chunk of the skin and tissue and sent it to a lab. A few weeks later they called and said it was basal cell carcinoma-the least harmful type of skin cancer. I went in and they cut it out as you can see in the pictures. They put 5 stitches under my skin and 16 stitches on top of my skin to stitch the skin back together again. The doctor said he rarely sees 30 something year olds with skin cancer and more of the retiree age. I will forever be wearing sunscreen, hats, shade and take better care of my skin and my childrens. Don't let this happen to you! Who knew?

Kids having fun with cousins, friends and family

Lauren is too cute with her friend Grace. They love to play with makeup. Lauren is growing up too fast! Where have almost 8 years gone? But I won't let her grow up too fast. No makeup until she is 14? I think that was the age I was. She is beautiful no matter what.
Dawson and his look-a-like best friend Connor playing on the trampoline at Connor's house. Even though Conner is still in Bountiful, they got to play together in January when we went to visit family.

I love how cute Dawson and Damon look with Grandma Warrick's dogs. They love snuggling up with Grace and Rose. Damon's arm is loving the dog and he is focused on watching cartoons with Grandma.

We love exploring around St.George, we found a really neat short hike to some Petroglyphs, you can see them on the rocks behind the kids and a close up shot of the Petroglyphs above. We really enjoyed this time together.

I think we must be the ultimate and crazy UTES fans! Go UTES-Undefeated!

Lauren having fun coloring in the sun with her cousin Emeree who came and spent new years eve in St.George with us! Can you believe it was nice enough to be outside?

Damons 1st Haircut

Damon's hair was starting to grow out like a weed. My friend Angie said she would cut it for me and he did pretty good. She had snacks and all kinds of tricks to get Damon to sit in the chair and be able to cut his hair. He looks like a big boy now!
